Why should I not handle my RSUs on my own?RSUs are one of the most error-prone aspects of tax filing. Many people who try to handle them themselves end up making mistakes. These errors can lead to incorrect reporting on your tax return, and the IRS may send notices years later, requiring you to amend your return. Fixing these errors can take much longer and may result in costly penalties or tax liabilities—sometimes totaling tens of thousands of dollars. With our years of experience working with tech employees from companies like Amazon, Meta, Apple, and others, we are well-versed in handling RSUs and can ensure your tax filing is done correctly from the start. Let us handle the complexity so you can avoid stress and potential financial consequences.

What should international students and expats know about tax filing?Navigating tax filing as a student or expat can be complicated, especially when determining whether you should be classified as a resident alien or a nonresident alien for tax purposes. This classification is important because it directly affects your tax return and filing status. We have years of experience handling the tax situations of foreign individuals, international students, and expats, and we know how to evaluate your specific situation to ensure you are filing with the correct status.
